Swedish melodic hard rock band

REACH is back

Swiss heavy rock / metal band, FELSKINN, feat. Maxxwell, Live/Wire and Krokus members, have signed with European label ROAR! Rock Of Angels Records. FELSKINN’s third album ‘Mind Over Matter’, includes 12 tracks and was mixed and mastered by Jacob Hansen (VOLBEAT, PRIMAL FEAR, PRETTY MAIDS), to be out on March 16, 2018. The new lyric video for the song ‘Pictures In My Dreams’, feat. guest stars: Mike Terrana, Mandy Meyer & Jgor Gianola, can be viewed below.

The lyric video was created by Jim Evgenidis at Icon Filmworx Studios.

On the Album, Mike Terrana (RAGE, TARJA TURUNEN) laid down the drum tracks at Hansen Studios in Denmark, recorded by Jacob Hansen (VOLBEAT, PRIMAL FEAR, PRETTY MAIDS). The rest was recorded in Switzerland „with a little help“ of former Bandmates Jgor Gianola (U.D.O, JORN, GOTTHARD) and Mandy Meyer (UNISONIC, KROKUS, GOTTHARD) on lead guitars.

FELSKINN was originally formed by Andy Portmann in 2005. The self titeled debut album was recorded with guest musicians and released in March 2006. The first Song on the Album „170105“ was later re-recorded by Kai Hansen and appeared as „Built A World“ on the 2014 Release „Empire Of The Undead“ by GAMMA RAY and reached the charts at #13 in Germany.

The band played numerous shows and festivals. In April 2007 the 2nd album „Listen!“ was released, followed again by intensive touring. Due to the „famous“ musical differences the band disbanded in 2008.

Portmann started a live project with Mandy Meyer (UNISONIC, KROKUS, GOTTHARD), playing songs from their previous bands. In 2010 Portmann formed the FELSKINN follow up band DOWNLOAD and started working on the album „Eleven Stages“, released in April 2014. The live band included the current FELSKINN line up with a different drummer.

While working on the next album „Mind Over Matter“, Portmann decided to bring back the band name FELSKINN. With the international production of „Mind Over Matter“ and the new signed deal with ROCK OF ANGELS RECORDS, FELSKINN is ready to hit the world wide market.

The cloudy beginnings of VESPERIA lay etched in the gorged bodies of former musical projects among the now four-member band. Twisting, writhing and forcing their aural onslaught upon metal audiences across the globe have sincerely ensured the band’s continuity through all the harsh and arduous battles modern metal bands are bound to encounter in their tenures.

Established in 2012 by vocalist/ bassist Morgan Rider, the sound, direction and theme of the music quickly and naturally evolved into the style of fierce and heroic metal the band is now known and praised for.

Shortly after releasing their first full-length album Voyage from Vinland, VESPERIA redefined themselves and further focused their direction with the 2012 demo, The Swordsman. In 2013, the band independently funded and released their 2nd full-length album An Olden Tale, drawing the ears and attention of metal fans around the world and demonstrating their true mastery of their craft. During that same year, the band also independently funded and completed several Canadian tours to support the album.

Early 2015 saw the band enter the studio once again to record some demo material, which would become The Iron Tempests EP. During this time, the band toured Canada from coast to coast and also made an appearance at Wacken Open Air in Germany, where they won the title of 2015 International Wacken Battle Champions, a second time win for the band’s frontman, Morgan.

With their most fierce music written to date and a bounty of opportunity awaiting, VESPERIA continue to hungrily eye 2015 as the year they will make their mark upon the Earth.

American Pagan Metal? What does that mean? Americans pretending that they are Vikings?
No, Helsott is so much more than that. Lyrically, Helsott pay homage to all things pagan, not just Scandinavian Paganism. American Mythology, Scandinavian Mythology, Germanic Mythology, Ancient Egyptology, Celtic Mythology, Greek Mythology, and all things Heathen. Paganism was and still is relevant all around the world and is the main backdrop in the Theater of Helsott. Musically, if you threw Folk Metal, Death Metal, Symphonic Metal, Thrash Metal, Classical Music and Rock n’ Roll into a smelting pot and poured its contents onto the world…that world would scream Helsott. Meaning “Fatal Illness” in Teutonic, Helsott have already carved a piece of the Metal World for them-selves and plan on carving deeper with their beautifully brutal, pagan themed brand of metal for years to come.
On a National level Helsótt has toured the US and Canada with Paganfest alongside Ensiferum, Tyr, Heidevolk, and Trollfest…for Rock The Nation USA. In 2015 Helsott toured the US in support of their album “Woven” twice. The first being a summer headlining tour and the second in support of Arkona and Heidevolk on the Pagan Rebellion tour.
On a local level Helsótt has supported national and international acts such as: Finntroll, Ensiferum, Moonsorrow, Opeth, Katatonia, Trollfest, Heidevolk, Turisas, Nile, Ex Deo, Dio’s Disciples, Tyr, Korpiklaani, Fleshgod Apocalypse, Nevermore, Barren Earth, Suidakra, Eluveitie, Arkona, Alestorm, Metsatöll, Kill Devil Hill, Carach Angren, Fear Factory, Rotting Christ, Epica, Death Angel, Hate, Kampfar, Vreid, Keep of Kalessin, D.R.I., Insomnium, Omnium Gatherum, Necrophagia, 1349, Warbringer, Mayhem, Destruction, Heathen, Goatwhore, Possessed, Woods of Ypris, Decrepit Birth, Origin, Dillinger Escape Plan…and many more.

If REVERENCE stays on the same trajectory they have been, they’re soon to become a household name for metalheads everywhere. Though they play Power, this album should appeal to lovers of everything heavy metal. Their sound covers all the bases as far as I’m concerned. Gods of War is a brilliant follow-up to an already amazing debut, and one that you need in your collection. (MyGlobalMind Rating 9/10)

Bryan Holland says: It’s been 3 long years since you have had any new music from the power metal band REVERENCE. That’s a hell of a long time to go without some OLD SCHOOL METAL. So, with that being said, we are proud to give you this short sneak peek of what you can expect from REVERENCE‘s 2nd release ‘Gods Of War‘.

The impending power metal assault is coming you way, take cover!

The following video clip features tracks from the new album: “Battle Cry“, “Angel In Black” and the title track “Gods of War“.
