After many years of absence, because of Vagelis’ duties as the bass player of the legendary Rotting Christ, FULL HOUSE BREW CREW are coming back with a strong statement of an album.

“No Retreat” and “Black Empty Box” were the fan’s favourite songs from their debut album “Bet It All” and with those songs in mind, now they put out “Me Against You”, which maybe includes the heaviest power grooves ever written from a European artist.

“Me Against You” influences came from bands like Slipknot, Five Finger Death Punch, Pantera, Metallica (Black Album era) and Black Label Society. This made the album more diverse on vocal perspective and more mature compositions!

FULL HOUSE BREW CREW keep on making headbang-worthy records, with melodies that stick to your brain!

FULL HOUSE BREW CREW was founded during 2009 by Vagelis “Van” Karzis, member of Rotting Christ for the last 6 years. Vagelis is the lead singer, lead guitar player and the main songwriter of the band. In 2009 he wrote 10 Heavy Groove songs influenced from bands like Pantera, Black Label Society, Five Finger Death Punch, Godsmack, Metallica and on 2011 having Spiros (bass) and Sakis (drums) on his side they recorded and self-released their first full-length album called Bet It All! Being active all these years by touring and opening for some big bands and festivals in Greece! Spiritual Beggars, Corrosion Of Conformity, 1000Mods and Planet Of Zeus just to name a few!
Having their own style for the Groove rhythms, they combine with aggressiveness and catchy melodies! And just like a thunderbolt charging straight from the top of Mount Olympus, these heavy-riffing monsters are ready to become the next name of “World’s Rock Gods” as been written at Spirit Of Metal!

FULL HOUSE BREW CREW states: “Our first focus is to create GOOD music, then promote it to people, create loyal fan base and tour as much as possible”

The band’s latest music video “Worst Enemy” can be viewed at the following link below. The video is a message from the band to conquer the fight against depression and follows the album’s theme of power and empowerment, a clarion call for strength in life’s battles…healing through headbanging.

Vocalist / guitarist Jay Sarrazin comments:
“Worst Enemy was actually the first song I wrote for this album. I was at a pretty dark place in my life at the time. I was struggling with depression and anxiety and was constantly berating myself with negativity. I felt trapped in a box so to speak and I became my own worst enemy. That’s what the song is about and the music video we made emphasizes that emotion of being trapped in that box or in your own head saying all these things to yourself. Throughout the years I have learned to find more coping methods and I am always learning more about myself. Hopefully this song helps other knows they are not alone and to seek help if they need it.”

DECATUR’s debut album “Badder Than Brooklyn” was produced by Joe Duplantier of Gojira and is all-killer, no filler! It doesn’t hide behind its production; it compliments it. These are truly songs of power and empowerment, a clarion call for strength in life’s battles…healing through headbanging. From the power shredding of “Into The Night” and the storytelling of the album’s title track “Badder Than Brooklyn” to the brutal beat down of songs like “Bottled Inside” and “Internal War”, DECATUR feel modern metal has lost its way and they’re here to provide the roadmap forward to the future! Make no mistake, Decatur are a band that puts the grit into integrity, as guitarist/vocalist Jay ‘Beard’ Sarrazin says, Decatur make “real metal for real metalheads.”

Named after their very own Street of Dreams in New York, where they recorded their debut album at Silvercord Studios in Brooklyn, DECATUR get their unique sound by being opened-minded, not just to each other in this band of brothers, but to different genres, not just of metal, but also the blues, rock ‘n’ roll and even pop! Decatur’s criteria if it’s good they can make it better! They focus on evolution not devolution. There is no fear of DECATUR repeating themselves musically; for them…the world is not enough. They see themselves as intrepid explorers, never playing it safe, always looking for new lands to conquer, and in the process drawing on creative powers they never knew they possessed.

“We put a lot of effort into writing real songs and putting out a real album that hopefully touches a broad fan base. Our goal was to make sure that not only every single song had been thoroughly thought through, but that it was given all the attention and passion that we truly felt they deserved. We honestly feel like metal has lost its way a bit and we were set on writing something original and not following the trends of today such as low tunings, aggressive growling and perfectly lined up music and sound. We focused on the realness of ourselves and wanted to produce something that wasn’t always perfect and was as real and as honest as we could be. We did not need or want to hide behind production. We wanted our raw talent to be caught and portrayed to everyone. Our goal was to produce something from the soul, not from the computer.” Says Sarrazin.

Stoner Doom Grunge Hybrid LUNG FLOWER Posts Psychedelic Music Video ‘Beyond Burnt Out’

For fans of Nirvana, Black Sabbath, Soundgarden, Alice in Chains, Pantera, Mastodon

Hallo Rock-Pix readers check this out, Vancouver’s sludgy stoner doom grunge hybrid LUNG FLOWER have posted their new psychedelic music video ‘Beyond Burnt Out’ in support of their latest album, the seven track ride ‘Effigy’ released during April 2016. The album is the follow up to their 2014 EP ‘Death On The Crowsnest’ and 2012 debut album ‘Under A Dying Sun’.

The band comments on the video:

“The video was mostly shot in an abandoned house on the outskirts of Abbotsford BC. We chose this location because it was a perfect symbol for the meaning of the song, the purposely literal lyrics conveying the everyday struggle of the modern day city dwelling man. Burning the candle at both ends eventually leaves you hollow and empty, like most of this house was. We felt that this house, with its disrepair, a sad shadow of what it probably once was, served as our metaphor for a person trying to walk the edge of the abyss, the edge of alleviation and addiction. Someone who is quite literally Beyond Burnt Out.”

A’ Rebel Few – Debut Album ‘As The Crow Flies’ Out April 22.

Yell! Mag Premiere A REBEL FEW Track 'Rebel Few'; Debut Album 'As The Crow Flies' Out April 22

‘ A Rebel Few’; Debut Album ‘As The Crow Flies’ Out April 22

A heavy hitter of Southern rock with an injection of groove, Cambridge, ON’s A REBEL FEW is comprised of ex-West Memphis Suicide members Chris Raposo (Vocals-Guitar), Barry Martin (Guitar), Chris Spiers (Drums) along with Adam Shortreed (Bass). Playing music to fill the void not only for themselves, but for those who connect with their sound, the band has already shared the stage with Steel Panther, Jackyl, Skid Row, Killer Dwarfs, Anvil, Kill Devil Hill, Texas Hippie Coalition, My Darkest Days, The Headstones, and Danko Jones all before their debut album ‘As The Crow Flies’ is set for release on April 22nd, 2016.

Produced by Sterling Winfield (Pantera, Damageplan, Hellyeah, Texas Hippie Coalition) and mastered by Howie Weinberg (Rush, Aerosmith, Van Halen, Beastie Boys, Pantera), ‘As The Crow Flies’ is ready to impact your speakers with its heavy guitars, huge rhythm section and a gravel-blasted soulful voice for straight up in your face rock n roll to add to their lyrical themes of empowerment and overcoming the worst in life as they see it.

Vocalist Chris Raposo comments on the track:

“The track A Rebel Few is I’d say a great example of who we are musically as a band. Heavy guitars, thunderous bottom end, “Sabbath”esque grooves and a memorable melody that gets stuck in your head all day. Above and beyond, this song is about unity and finding a place where you belong. Our hope with this track is that everyone gets lost in the riffs and the grooves to feel the vibe of A REBEL FEW. Plus most importantly they get an understanding of who we are and connect with us on a deeper level. If you’re driven by integrity, respect and trust then we welcome you to the family!”

About:
Cambridge, ON’s A REBEL FEW follow a simple motto.

“They’re not “making waves in the scene” … They’re not “from the ashes”… They’re not “creating a sound for the generation”…They’re a straight ahead no nonsense Rock n Roll band! If you dig music that you can be a part of … and a live show that isn’t 4 guys staring at their shoes, then they are a band for you!! What lives in them, lives in you … together WE are all A REBEL FEW”

That motto comes from a band philosophy that as individuals, we’ve all dealt with the feelings of not belonging or fitting into the status quo.

“We’ve always been seen as the black sheep and proud of it because we never liked the notion of simply conforming to what society has had us believe to be “normal”. A Rebel Few is badge for all those who feel abandoned by societies “standards” and are looking for refuge. A place where they belong and find strength in like minded souls.” says vocalist Chris Raposo.

A heavy hitter of Southern rock with an injection of groove, A REBEL FEW is comprised of ex-West Memphis Suicide members Chris Raposo (Vocals-Guitar), Barry Martin (Guitar), Chris Spiers (Drums) along with Adam Shortreed (Bass).

The debut is produced by Sterling Winfield (Pantera, Damageplan, Hellyeah, Texas Hippie Coalition) and mastered by Howie Weinberg (Rush, Aerosmith, Van Halen, Beastie Boys, Pantera) to impact your speakers with its heavy guitars, huge rhythm section and a gravel-blasted soulful voice for straight up in your face rock n roll to add to their lyrical themes of empowerment and overcoming the worst in life as they see it.

Raposo, the main lyric writer says “My lyrics mostly stem from a childhood of being shunned for not adhering to what everyone saw as normal and being persecuted for simply being who I was. The music has always been my therapist.”

As lead by example with the group’s single Rebel Few, a song about unity and belonging. Overall the album has a message of “Don’t let anything or anyone tell you can’t achieve what you want to, be who you are despite what others think you should be and don’t change who you are just to appease the masses.”

About:
Taking their experiences from past bands (Snaggletooth, Scissortooth, Dead End Ascension, Skookum, My Own Chaos, Luciferian Conquest, Torrential Pain, Tides of Honor and Annora), SAINTS OF DEATH are veteran musicians of the Vancouver scene ready to debut their self-titled EP this September 25, 2015 to introduce metal fans to a new sound coming from the Canadian West coast.

Lyric Video – Revolution – Watch here.

[youtube id=”HLweyS3Zt7o”]

“We think this EP should be listened to with open ears. Breaking the mold of typical sub-genre based metal, we try to cover all types of metal with lyrical content aimed at the problems with today’s government, moral value, and the supernatural occult. We think it should be received as another solid attempt to raise awareness of the wrongs of society and another conscience effort to make change along with wanting new fans to listen to our music and enjoy the quality of musicianship, engineering and lyrical content. We chose our favorite 5 tracks out of the first 7 we wrote to put on this self-titled EP.” comments vocalist/ bassist Twan Holliday.
Even with their debut being released, fans can expect a lot more from Saints of Death in the near future.

“We have a bunch of un-recorded material. We plan on taking a break from live shows, shortly after our EP release tour in Sept/Oct to finish writing enough material to record our first full length.”
Aiming to set the bar high with a live behemoth of ampage, backed by a custom light show, SAINTS of DEATH are pushing forward to take on the biggest stages and crowds and win over fans who enjoy headbanging to such bands as Black Sabbath, Lamb of God, Overkill, Motorhead, and Pantera.

Track by track of Saints of Death EP explained by the band:
1. Army of the Dead: This song is written from the perspective of a Viking in battle. Its underlying message is about the battle of life. “Everyone’s born, everyone dies”, we fight hard and strong, live, laugh, love and when it’s our time to die, we die!
2. Doom 5.1: This song is about organized religion and greed.
3. Blood Vendetta: This song is written about blood vendettas around the world. It’s about people being born into war, and fighting wars started by generations before them in order of gaining redemption for their lost family.
4. Revolution: This song is about unity and standing up for what is right! It’s a call to people everywhere to join together and fight for their rights and what’s right through Revolution.
5. Angels and Demons: This song is written about an old man on his deathbed. Not happy with his life he struggles though a battle between the right and wrong he has done and who will take possession of his soul; angels or demons.

Fun Fact: Besides being a musician vocalist / bassist Twan Holliday has acting credits for movies American Mary (2012), The Devils Ground (2009) w/ Darryl Hanna, Stan Helsing (2009) (Leslie Neielson’s last movie), Catwoman (2004) w/ Halle Barry, Psych (TV Show) plus has done stunts on Super Natural (TV Show) and Pathfinder (2007).
