And now they send their second masterpiece towards the world, their sound has remained true to the late seventies and early eighties bands like The Misfits who sang about horror and science fiction themes and dressed themselves up as scary as possible.

CD starts immediately with the fast track “Salem” sounds very good and immediately sound very good and power full.
Track 2. “They will be there” very good up tempo melody and sound beautiful Horro Rock ’N Roll Rebels, cool.

Track 3. Trail of blood “is a short but strong and catchy song with good up tempo breaks with great vocals by singer Sam,

Track 4. “Killer” Is smoothy rock and roll song that reminded me a lot of the old Stray Cats..Top

Track 5. “He She” is a melodic up tempo punk song, nice guitar parts and very nice tuneful vocals lines.. one of my favorite songs.

Track 6. “ Cemetary Girl” a song of attractive dead girl with tough guitar riffs, HELL YEAH cool.

Track 7. “It Follows” again an up tempo number, smoothly song with the necessary guitar ascents.

Track 8. “ Hurts like Hell” starts with some threatening sounding guitars and soon turns into an up tempo song, very good transitions in rhythm, ice one.
Track 8. “Russel” one of my favorites on this album, straight ahead track.

Track 9. “Drag you to hell” and Track 10. “Unsatiated” This is another cool horror punk riff song , with nice cool howling vocals.

Track 12. “Gallows Road” very vivacious track with very good breaks.

Track 13. “ Zombies from sector 9”and also the last number of this very great and second album from Deadite, this song could easily be a soundtrack to a zombie movie or series. great ending.

Deadite proves with this secon release of “Mistakes were made” that they have a Class-Horror-Sound that could easily measure with the bigger names in the Horror Punk scene, Hell Yeah!!!

New Noise Mag Premiere Ottawa’s TRIGON  ‘Nightmare’, A Tribute To Freddy Krueger

Debut Album ‘Fed Up’ Out March 24th

Ottawa, ON’s TRIGON will be releasing their 11 track debut album ‘Fed Up’ produced by the band with Anders Drerup and due out on March 24th. The band is inspired by artists as diverse as Volbeat, Crobot, David Wilcox, System of A Down, Nirvana, Megadeth, Black Sabbath and Slayer, yet already they have forged their own unique sound.

Their first single ‘Talk To Me’ was released this past February and now the band has another for fans, especially those who are fans of horror and the ‘A Nightmare On Elm Street’ movies.

Teaming up with New Noise Magazine, TRIGON are premiering their frightening single ‘Nightmare’ in tribute to the haunting talents of Freddy Kreuger.

“One night while we were having practice, Gus the guitarist came up with this crazy riff that actually sounded like a nightmare. If you were alive in the 80s, there was this one crazy movie that was terrifying everyone… that’s right Nightmare on Elm Street. So Trigon dedicated this song to the legend Freddy Krueger and his debauchery on Elm Street. Listen carefully as we perform a short bio about Frederick Charles Krueger!  Sweet dreams!” says vocalist / bassist Emanuel Viau.

Let your ‘Nightmare’ begin at the following link: http://newnoisemagazine.com/song-premiere-trigon-nightmare/

”Doyle” Destroying Dynamo Eindhoven! Live Report + Interview.

”Doyle” Destroying Dynamo Eindhoven! Live Report + Interview.

Doyle Wolfgang Von Frankenstein” is touring Europe right now…..not with the Misfits for which most people know him from as the guitar player, but with his own band ”Doyle”.

On the 7th of february ’17, the band visited Eindhoven (Netherlands) for a show at the Dynamo venue.
We from Rock-Pix Media got the chance to talk to Doyle right before the show started….check it out  at the bottom of this report

P1010101

The opening band for the night was Heretic (Netherlands).
A band that plays fast metal/punk in the vein of Venom/Motörhead. They reminded me a bit to the band ”Midnight” from the US.
A lot of people showed up for this night….and the small venue felt packed.
Heretic got great response from the crowd, as they blasted through their set of hard hitting songs. The band sounded very tight!
A great warm up for the abomination to come from Doyle!
Make sure to check Heretic out if they play in your area!

About half past nine it was time for the Monster Man Doyle and his Ghouls to enter the stage. The band opened with the title track of their first album ”Abominator”.

The fans screamed along with the singer ”Alex Wolfman Story”  while Doyle stomps around the stage and beats his dangerous looking guitar like a madman!

Alex introduces each song as a ”love song”, a ”sing a long song” or a song ”you can dance to”.
After the songs ”Headhunter” and ”Learn to Bleed” the band played three Misfits songs, ”Queen Wasp”, ”Where Eagles Dare” and ”Devilock”……and the audience went nuts in front of the stage, it was hard to stay on your feet in the pit.
”Valley of Shadows”, ”Mark of the Beast”, ”Drawing Down the Moon” and ”Cemetary Sexxx” followed, and then it was time for a little break, but not for drummer Brandon Pertzborn….he showed his skills with an incredible drum solo.  This guy is so talented!

P1010359

After the drum solo we got three more Misfits songs…”Green Hell”, ”Bloodfeast” and ”Last Caress”. And again…..the pit exploded. More Abominator songs followed…”Blood Stains”, a very romantic song titled ”Dreaming Dead Girls” and ”Land of the Dead”. Alex is a Hell of a frontman. Dangerous looking and a bit out of his mind….the right guy for this job.
The band treats us with another two Misfits songs…..time to go berserk again on ”Skulls” and ”Die Die my Darling”.  The last song of the night is ”Hope Hell is Warm”, and that’s how the super intense set comes to an end.

The crowd is pleased, and it seemed the band had fun too. What a great night!
Doyle did the right thing by starting his own band, he can be proud of it!

We are looking forward for the new album ”As We Die” that will be released in may on the EMP label.

MISFITS GUITARIST DOYLE WOLFGANG VON FRANKENSTEIN’S DOYLE PROJECT

Coming off the heels of one of the most celebrated reunions in Musical history, Legendary MISFITS guitarist DOYLE WOLFGANG VON FRANKENSTEIN heads back out with his eponymous solo band, featuring vocalist Alex “Wolfman” Story (Cancerslug), bassist Brandon Strate, and drummer Brandon Pertzborn, this time for a massive European expedition, playing songs from their skull-crushing debut LP ABOMINATOR, (released in 2013 on Doyle’s own MONSTERMAN RECORDS) as well as staples from the MISFITS catalog.

After touring the US relentlessly for the last 2 years, DOYLE will bring his spook-show spectacular to European soil for the first time this Spring, for an extensive tour of the UKGermany, AustriaItaly and more.

DOYLE (WITH DOYLE FROM THE MISFITS)

“The Misfits created the horror punk attitude and had a massive influence on modern rock, punk and metal. It was an easy decision for me to join them for these monumental shows. I was honored to be asked, and am very excited to be playing with the band.” Lombardo says.

“I first met Dave back in 1988 when Danzig did four shows with Slayer in the U.S., before the first Danzig album was released,” Danzig says. “Dave is one of the best drummers around, and I can’t wait for everyone to see him pounding Misfits songs live for these special shows.”

Jerry Only noemt Lombardo een “master at what he does”. “Toen Dave’s naam genoemd werd, waren Glenn en ik meteen enthousiast. Ik denk dat de donkere kant van punk die we met de Misfits gecreëerd hebben de groei en evolutie van punk naar thrash bracht, en bands als Metallica en Slayer teweeggebracht.”

DANZIG – Skeletons – Release Date Europe: 27 November 2015.

DZ_S-P01_Photos_C_&_courtesy_Paul_Brown___evilive_pe

DANZIG  – Skeletons

Label : AFM / Marketing : Suburban
Distribution : Bertus / Promotion : The Rock Online

Release Date Europe:  27 November  2015

You know it’s Danzig the moment you hear him.
It’s not just that inimitable voice either. It’s the thick airy guitars, bluesy swagger, and “come hither” evil that placed him at the forefront of a number of musical revolutions. Due to his ingenuity, horror and punk formally collided with The Misfits’ genesis in the seventies. Anytime you see that iconic Misfits skull, you’ll immediately think of his howl fueling punk classics like 1982’s Walk Among Us or 1983’s Wolf’s Blood/Earth A.D. His vision for Samhain and albums such as Initium and November-Coming-Fire, to name a few, indelibly impacted the landscape of extreme music, fortifying the crossroads between heavy riffs and occult imagery so prevalent these days. Then, there’s his eponymous band—Danzig. 1988’s self-titled debut would go platinum and yield classics including “Mother,” “Twist of Cain,” and “She Rides,” while overall sales across his catalog exceed 10 million worldwide to date.

DZ_S-P04_Photos_C_&_courtesy_Paul_Brown___evilive_peMoreover, you can consistently feel his presence throughout pop culture, whether it’s his music soundtracking moments in The Hangover film series, at the personal request of director Todd Phillips, or Artists ranging from Johnny Cash & Roy Orbison to Guns & Roses, Metallica, My Chemical Romance & many more recording his songs. That imprint expands further with his successful Verotik Comics and forthcoming feature film directorial debut. However, Danzig wants to show you where it started with his tenth full-length album and first since 2010’s Deth Red Saboath—Skeletons [Evilive Records].
A labor of love that dates back to 1979, he pulls back the curtain behind his influences with a collection of ten covers spanning artists as diverse as Elvis Presley, ZZ Top, and Aerosmith to Black Sabbath, The Troggs, The Everly Brothers, and more. Recording intermittently between 2012 and 2015 in Los Angeles, he quite literally reveals the bone structure for his own style.

“These are my skeletons,” he affirms. “You may or may not know that I dig these songs. You could say that some of this music is the actual basis and skeleton of what I listened to growing up—ultimately informing the kind of music I like. It’s the foundation. If you took Elvis and Sabbath out of my life, I probably wouldn’t be the Glenn Danzig you know! I’m glad both sides are represented on this record.”
Among the tracks, he takes Presley’s “Let Yourself Go” from the film Speedway and transforms it with a swinging distorted stomp and bluesy vocal crescendo. “I thought it was a song I could do something really cool with,” he goes on. “It’s also something that I didn’t think anyone would necessarily expect. When you tell them you’re going to do an Elvis cover, they expect something they know. Not a lot of people know this one. It’s actually on The ’68 Comeback Special, and it’s worth going back to.”DZ_S-P05_Photos_C_&_courtesy_Paul_Brown___evilive_pe
He also “Danzig-ized” Sabbath’s “N.I.B.”, beginning with just guitar, vocals, and half-beat drums bolstered by ominous church bells. Meanwhile, Aerosmith’s “Lord of The Thighs” grows exponentially heavier in his hands with a swell of pinch harmonics and robust riffing.
“People might be surprised I like that second Aerosmith record, Get Your Wings. There are tracks on there, especially ‘Lord of Your Thighs,’ that stand out to me. However, if you hear theirs and then you hear ours, ours is much heavier,” he grins.

A rousing cover of The Litter’s “Action Woman” opens a window into his pre-punk and garage roots, while Danzig brings a blast of intensity to ZZ Top’s “Rough Boy,” turning it into a metallic freight train. “I always thought it was such a great song,” he continues. “I wanted to make it more linear and run all the way through.”
The Troggs “A Girl Like You” becomes a punkified juggernaut in his hands with its fuzzed-out guitars, pounding drums and the trademark Danzig sing-a-long choruses.
He captures the rebellious spirit of the sixties outlaw biker films with a punked-out take on “Devil’s Angels” from the Devil’s Angels Soundtrack complete with his old school Misfits Dallas Arbiter Jumbo-Fuzz Pedal. Then, Danzig adds a countrified spark to “Satan” from Satan’s Sadists, which he assures, “You might be surprised, but I didn’t change any of the lyrics. I didn’t have to!”
Danzig’s interpretation of “Crying in the Rain” from The Everly Brothers instantly captivates. Accompanied only by piano, guitar, and tympani, he accomplishes the mission of making it more “ethereal, sparse, dark, and haunting.”

Ultimately, Skeletons sparks the next phase for Danzig. Helping catalyze his next full-length offering and 2015 tour plans, it’s yet another revolution. “I hope people dig it,” he leaves off. “I also hope it gives everybody a little bit of insight into the music I listen to and maybe an insight into how I did the songs. If you enjoy it, that’s great.”
No matter what, you’ll know it’s undeniably him the moment you press play…

INTRODUCE – Deadite – at Rock-Pix 2- 24 october 2015.
