Objector – “Social Intolerance” CD review.

Objector

“Social Intolerance” CD review.

Objector from Antwerp that previously in 2013 with their great demo under the name “Stand Your Ground.” Furore made his return with a pearl for the boar. The band under the direction Bock (guitar / vocals) have in the past had several obstacles in member change, but this is a thing of the past and good.
These Objector guys outside the big parking lot of Belgium have recently released their new debut long player on the world under the name “Social Intolerance” where we feel very attracted again.

From the demo “Stand Your Ground.” We know that Objector likes to work extremely hard with solid old school Thrash like bands like Slayer and consorts in the genre, they also like to hear their opinion through their lyrics. and cute calves goes into this world, but about the fucking social issues that everyone does hold on this earth.

What clearly fascinates us with this band is their evolution, their sound is super tight and seems to be ruminated to a very tight flower-piercing “wall of Thrash sound” that always suffers astonishment.

CD starts with the fun intro of ‘The Crow’ movie, where we started for 7 cool songs where Track 2. “Life Denied” lets you hear what you can expect. Pure Old School Thrash energy rich (and full of vitamins) and in the height acceleration plays where the level is high in the banner is lol, there is also immediately to a few breaks and a scream aka Tom Araya of Slayer 100% power on you let go that you are not left untouched and put back your vertebrae at right angles. Top opener …

Track 3. “My Mind Insane” 03:55 drags you into a downward ominous descending power chords, but immediately the band returns from their dark vicious sounding line and comes back tighter than they might have thought back, even though it was only to slap around with their great raw sound. Very nice song with very tight sounding-bridge sound and then even more extra covered with spicy solos and sound bombs that make me happy.

Track 4. “Not Of This World” 03:21 everything is taken care of, where the fat production of the disc is easy to hear, and that some time has been worked on. Solos flow beautifully into each other, where the beautiful sticks, and where I spontaneously even have to rewind for a moment. Not only the guitar work of Bock and Filip is top, but also the tight drum parts of Jozef are fascinating shit. Nice invading drums give the songs the necessary constructive feedback that is so enmeshed with such style.

Track 5. “Alarm” 03:27 Objector continues in their protest against this world, so I am not promptly headbanging, but rather listen to this band that wants to send a message to the world. Bock & Co not only set the bar technically high but also textually it has the content, what I have heard in some bands in recent years or has been lost with too much water to do with the wine. Super number.
Track 6. “Social Intolerance” 04 minutes and 24 seconds raw Thrash finger-licking breaks with prickly riffs and drum salvos where your steroid shrunken testicles fail and pulverized teelball bag hangs. The song gives an image of kwassie text and sound which should have a real Thrash number. Landing and construction gives you the necessary boost in power pounding drums, a raw with razor-sharp guitar riffs and supporting bass lines from Stef. If you do not like this number correctly, you do not understand Thrash at all and you better go garden gardening like the rest.

Track 7. “Toxic Storm” 03:51 you get a pair of pants from the same sheet, again an inner voice says that this disk is licking without having to spray with a smoothie whipped cream. Sturdy filthy Thrash where nice bass lines gives the whole a beastly push in the back or it might not be finished yet. Beestig …
Track 8. Vengeance (will be mine) and also the last of this great “Social Intolerance” CD. The song “Vengeance” allows you to repeat that Objector can no longer be removed from our Belgian Metalzine, and good wall good Thrash bands can not be enough in Belgium anyway?

Conclusion;
Objector has surpassed themselves in this “Social Intolerance” CD, in which they have not lost the eye on a technical level. The band shows that they are ready to make it international, and certainly should not be inferior to the aggressive German Thrash sound.

Track 4.

Beestig…

Track 8.

Conclusie;

Black Hole – Lost World

Black Hole – Lost World

Black Hole is a French melodic metal band, which saw the light of day in 1998. They recorded the first album in 2000 but due to line-up changes, touring started in 2008. They have released 2 albums, being “Children Of The Sun” and “Victim Of Illusion”. Characteristic of the style are the sharp guitar riffs, the powerful rhythms and the furious solos. The band already supported Nightwish, Firewind, Jeff Scott Soto, Shakra, …. Since 2015, vocalist Fabio Torrisi joined the band and that gave Black Hole an extra boost. Their third long player is almost a fact with “Lost World”. At the end of 2016 they made us curious with the release of this teaser: https://www.youtube.com/watch?time_continue=4&v=4Be2g_IpuZ4. Remarkable for “Better Days” are powerful and melodic vocals, “Lost World” gave a second impression what we could expect on the upcoming full album.

Opener “Better Days” has now appeared on video via Nocturna: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g4Vj5Nnm1CM. The piece, that we could listen to in the teaser, is now complete and sounds contagious to open the record. Catchy, melodious and powerful, as we may expect from a band in that genre. The up-tempo moments contains powerful drum and guitar, the quieter moments completes this song nicely. Beautiful how sometimes the guitars roughly pound and sometimes form a fragile melody. It took some time getting used to the timbre of the voice of Fabio Torrisi, but that is personal. In any case, many beautiful long powerful vocals harmoniously with the strong solos.

Slightly quieter with “No More Hope”, which also tackles it in a somewhat bombastic and theatrical way. A begging song to be helped is promptly answered by a finger-tight guitar solo. “When I’m really down, help me, save me” … I never heard someone ask for help so melodiously.

In “Help Me” I sometimes hear a pinch of Klaus Maine in the vocals. The strong guitar solos fly around your ears from all sides.

In the up-tempo “Save Your Dreams”, the vocal lines sometimes takes twists, which took me a time to get comfortable with. Once again, master on the strings Matthieu Acker is the man in the spotlight, but Christophe Brunner is also hitting it hard with double bass drum parts.

That Black Hole also can be dark, is proven in “Forever With Us”. In addition to the masterperformance of Fabio, in this slower and heavier track, the basses of Patrick Umber stands up. The nice drumfills brighten up the song a bit, but despite the high rising melodic vocals, a blissful dark atmosphere remains. With his good 6 minutes, beautiful songs can last a long time.

Also from the title track “Lost World” a video has appeared, which is on it’s way to 5000 views: https://www.youtube.com/watch?time_continue=10&v=qfssUoKUhWM. This symphonic track runs like an express train and is a good reflection of what Black Hole stands for. Powerful vocals, strong rhythms, fierce guitar solos and throbbing rhythms.

“Carved In You” starts wonderfully beautiful as a hymn. The double bass drum, as well as a guitar solo, is characteristic of this up-tempo metal track.

“Change Your Life” and “The Cell” go more towards melodic power metal, interspersed with razor-sharp riffs and solos.

The quiet magic on piano is punctuated in “The One” by a screeching guitar solo but returns. This ballad is pulled open by Fabio and gains strength thanks to drum and guitar solo. The rhythm makes the atmosphere fluctuate from powerful to subdued. As fragile as the number started, so fragile it ends.

With “Lost World” we get 10 songs, where for me “Change Your Live” and “Forever With Us” jumps out of the list. For those who want to discover this band, the album will be released on May 31 through Via Nocturna. They also play at “Devils Rock For An Angel” on September 29 where you can see them live at work.

Black Hole is:

Christophe Brunner: Drum and management

Matthieu Acker: Guitar

Patrick Umber: Bass

Fabio Torrisi: Voice

Skarlett Riot – Regenerate – CD review

Skarlett Riot – Regenerate

Universe Infinity – Rock is alive

Universe Infinity – Rock is alive

‘Catch Of My Life’, ‘Red Submarines’ en ‘Companys Coming’ bevestigen hierin.

The raw energy of extreme metal of SENZAR

The raw energy of extreme metal of

SENZAR

From the ashes of Dublin veterans Coldwar, Senzar have emerged, even more enraged and potent as before delving far into philosophies and marrying it with the raw energy of extreme metal.

Vocalist Trevor McLave explains that, “Inspiration behind the name derives out of numerous relating sources. The argument put forward in Ernst Cassirer’s essay on man, where he argues man is a symbolic animal being one. Senzar, as the mystery of the mystery language, whether this be mythological or not, is in my opinion, in itself a measurelessly potent idea for a name. With regards to Coldwar. That was a project with which the line-up varied over the years. It was consistently transforming. The later Coldwar was by all rights something other than what it had started as. Due to dynamics and politics from within the band it transpired the time was right to allow what was manifesting to become something within its own right. Which is exactly what it now is.”

The band will release their untitled debut record, an EP on 20th July 2018 via Hostile Media, and today have released the first taste of what’s the come.

McLave adds, “Not to be pedantic but, it’s not a self-titled release, it’s non-titled. We wanted to take our musical ideas a lot further than we were able to with Coldwar, elements of which were hinted at on Pantheist. Creating atmosphere and soundscapes which hold measureless potency, correlating with the lyrics and retaining raw energy and heaviness was our goal. Regarding the lyrics, I guess there are rudiments of consideration regarding mankind’s position in the greater scheme of the cosmos. Beyond that, it really is something purposely devised as being unfixed, thus open to beholders interpretation.”

Characteristically esoteric, Senzar are inspired by the relation of the human condition to the complexity and mystery of the cosmos. Motivated by the obscure yet intelligible patterns of order from chaos and our natural creative impulse, and being influenced by the darker, more challenging cultural output of modernity, they articulate a metaphysical engagement between the self and the natural world.

“The music is an endeavour to explore the unity and multiplicity of Being,” states vocalist Trevor McLave. “Both interpretive and descriptive, it explores beyond the scope of the rational gaze to disclose the world, which, understood as a totality of all things, we are embedded in, and fundamentally related to in ways which are mystical.”

Forty Shades have announced the release of their upcoming album with the first single ‘Blackstar Diamond’.

“God and the Idol is the first music video from the upcoming album ‘Blackstar Diamond’. It addresses one of the main themes of the album which is the fight between extremes in life”

The album will be released 27th April 2018.

You can enjoy the video here!

This was followed by 2nd single: God and the Idol!

BIOGRAPHY:

Forty Shades is the solo project of the guitarist and singer of “Crematory” (www.crematory.de/) Tosse Basler. The band was founded originally in 2007 by the Ex-Xandria singer Manuela Kraller (www.xandria.de/) and Keyboarder Tobias Gut under the name NAGOR MAR.

The original inspiration for their music style were bands such as Nightwish and Evanescene with their predominant female vocals in the Symphonic metal band genre. Between 2010 and 2011, the band evolved their musical direction going through lineup changes.

The situation calmed down from 2012 with the cooperation of the singer Tosse Basler (Guitarist and singer for the Cleanvocals by Crematory). The new Line-up orientated itself musically completely anew and appeared from now on under the name FORTY SHADES.

In 2014, the band recorded their debut album ‘Camera Silens’ and published it early 2015 under the label 7hard (7us media). Their first album received great reviews across Europe by such heavyweights as Metal Hammer Italy (9/10 rating), Rock Hard, and Legacy. It has been labeled best newcomer metal album of 2015. This resulted in numerous radio interviews both in German and French such as influential Swiss radio Couleur3 as well as the opportunity to play as supporting act for bands such as Beyond The Black and Masterplan.

The band signed a deal with booking and management agency EAM in early 2016 to capitalize on their early success. The have just released their latest material “Blackstar Diamond“
